Rachael Sage Releases New Single "Blue Sky Days"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) This morning Rachael Sage released her latest single, "Blue Sky Days" as featured in American Songwriter. The single is from upcoming album Character to be released next Friday, 3/6. The song is a meditative ode to healing inside and out, featuring inspired strings and a persistent guitar that easily bridges the styles of earlier singles, "Both Hands" and "Character".

Rachael Sage's upbeat "Blue Sky Days" was written in the days recovering from her recent cancer experience, inspired directly by the imagery in the popular Headspace meditation app. Propelled by an ambitious string arrangement and Sage's signature arpeggiated piano riffs, Sage hopes the gratitude-centric song will serve as a source of hopeful uplift to anyone going through tough times. Produced by Sage and Grammy© winner Andy Zulla (Rod Stewart, Kelly Clarkson).

"As I was regaining my strength and recovering, I started to have my dear friend and longtime violinist Kelly Halloran come and visit me regularly. I hadn't had the energy to play music in over 6 months, and I very much wanted her to help me find my way back to playing. I was so eager to create something new, and also I wanted to prove to myself I could still summon inspiration even in the wake of a physical and ultimately a very spiritual crisis. Inspiration came in the form of the 'blue sky' imagery in my Headspace meditation app - and the revelation that of course, eventually, the clouds do clear. The song is essentially about hope, as well as a particular kind of gratitude that is much stronger because it's grounded in mindfulness." - Rachael Sage

Sage is currently on the road supporting 80s music icon Howard Jones, after accepting his personal invitation to join his US Acoustic Trio tour. The 33-date tour began in January and sees her supporting in cities that include Los Angeles, Austin, St. Paul, New York City, and Miami. See below for a full list of live dates.
