Ramadan, Prayer, Charity, & Hip Hop
Scottsdale, AZ (Top40 Charts/ Queen Muhammad Ali Official Website) Masaniai Muhammad Ali, female music producer gives the world of Hip Hop a gift this Ramadan with the release of her first independent single entitled "APDTA". On July 19th, this release marks the first song produced by a Muslim woman in the world of Hip Hop for this occasion. Masaniai (pronounced Mah-sah-nee-eye) is not the typical Muslim woman. She doesn't speak fluent Arabic or wear a full hijab scarf. On the contrary, she wears her own custom New Era® snap back baseball cap and speaks Samoan. In a recent interview, Ms. Muhammad Ali said "I know I'm not the typical Muslim woman or Hip Hop producer because I'm breaking all the stereotypes for women in the music industry and the world of Islam".

The release of the song APDTA could not come at a better time for her. On May 1, 2012 the U.S. Census reported that the fastest growing religion in America is Islam. The study went on to show that Muslims living inside the United States increased by about 1 million to 2.6 million - a stunning increase of 66.7 percent (from the year 2000 to 2010). With the recent debate over the building of a Mosque near Ground Zero, many Americans are focused on Islam in a negative view. APDTA featuring Rapper Haas (Hassan Diop) is changing that view to positive. "It go from Adam to Eve to the world that we live in, if it's only one God than it's only one religion, so if Jesus was a Muslim that means I am a Christian, I even follow prophet Moses in the Jewish tradition..." raps Haas on APDTA. "This song has already started to break sales records world wide, that's why we decided to give a portion of the proceeds to the Save the Children foundation for charity.", said Radio Bums Music co-founder Hakeem Khaaliq.

Russell Simmons' news Network (Global Grind) is scheduled to feature a story entitled "Ramadan, Rituals & Rhymes...APDTA!" written by staff writer Brother Jesse in which they highlighted the single. APDTA is released on Radio Bums Music and digitally distributed on Apple's popular itunes music store worldwide with two produced versions by Muhammad Ali, both featuring the Los Angeles Rapper Haas. The music video will also be released on YouTube and Vimeo during this month.
