LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ LUCK Media & Marketing) Emerging pop/rock songstress
Monica Matocha (www.monicamatocha.com) has earned a coveted artist profile on Clear Channel's iheartradio.com for its New! Discover & Uncover section, which racks up more than 27 million hits each month from music seeking fans.
The Houston-based artist has steadily gained attention with her single "Impostor," which rocketed to #3 on the Independent Artists/New Releases radio chart within 12 weeks of the release. The track is available for digital download on iTunes. A video for an acoustic version of the song can also be viewed on YouTube.
Matocha's (pronounced Ma-toke-uh) spotlight comes just weeks after landing an endorsement deal with the L.A.-based guitar company
Daisy Rock Girl Guitars, which boasts a roster of notable artists such as Avril Lavigne, Miley Cyrus, Norah Jones, The Bangles,
Wanda Jackson and Lisa Loeb.
Matocha's new
Daisy Rock guitar is a perfect complement to Matocha's own handmade jewelry; her latest novelties include lava beads, bone bracelets and contemporary bullet necklaces. Lifestyle blogger Candice Rose recently interviewed the fashion savvy artist.
The trendsetting singer/songwriter was recently on the cover of Southwest Flair Magazine's March 2012 issue where she discussed the inspiration behind her solo debut single and handmade jewelry designs with Editor Cheryl Yale-Bruedigam. She is also slated for a feature in an upcoming issue of Broken Records Magazine.
Matocha earned top honors for "Best Female Vocals" and "Best Pop Artist" at the
Houston Press
Music Awards in November 2011. The release date for her debut album, produced by John Glover (former RCA artist under Ron Fair and Bruce Flohr), will be announced later this year.
