New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Joey+Rory were known for living a simple life together just outside Nashville, Tennessee, away from the critical acclaim, coveted awards, TV exposure, and endorsements they received, but the husband-and-wife duo captured the hearts of millions with their story of love and strength during Joey's fight against cancer. Fathom Events and Provident Films are proud to present the intimate and emotional documentary, "To Joey, With Love," in select cinemas for one night on Tuesday,
September 20 at 7:00 p.m. local time. The stirring journey of the 2010 Academy of Country
Music Top New Vocal Duo takes audience members from the birth of their daughter Indiana, born with Down Syndrome, through Joey's struggle with, and ultimate surrender, to cancer — all amidst their never-ending hope in something far greater.
Tickets for "To Joey, With Love" can be purchased online by visiting www.FathomEvents.com or at participating theater box offices. Fans throughout the U.S. will be able to enjoy the event in more than 500 movie theaters through Fathom's
Digital Broadcast Network. For a complete list of theater locations visit the Fathom Events website (theaters and participants are subject to change).
In the age of made-for-TV manufactured stars, Joey and Rory Feek were as real as they came. Hundreds of thousands of people found them through "The Joey+Rory Show," their weekly TV program, and millions more fell in love with the couple through Rory's blog as they waded deeply into joy, tragedy, beauty and love. During that period, they never stopped being who they were, and their story of simple life, full of passion, contentment and love will touch hearts and inspire everyone to reach deeper and higher at the same time.
Over the course of their music career, Joey+Rory recorded eight studio albums for Vanguard Records and Farmhouse Recordings, and charted three singles on Hot Country Songs. In 2008, the duo was the third-placed finalist on the CMT's competition "Can You Duet." In October 2015, the duo cancelled all future concert appearances in the wake of Joey's diagnosis with terminal cancer. On March 4, 2016 Joey Feek died at the age of 40, but left a lasting legacy of love behind her.
"Joey and Rory's story is a tale of love, dedication, courage, hope and faith. Their enduring love is not only empowering, but inspirational, and will captivate and inspire audiences around the country," Fathom Events Vice President of Programming, Kymberli Frueh said.
