 Coeur d'Alene, ID (ww.myspace.com/rottband) - Idaho based Goth metal act ROTT is now taking a bite out of fans in Europe too. ROTT recently became noticed in major webzines Temple of Metal in Greece, Born to Die'zine in Poland and has their online interview up from Behind the Veil in Greece. With this added bite to their sound and growing packs of rottband fans they even received attention in Argentina from webzine musicextreme.com. The response from the fans is awesome. ROTT hails from Spirit Lake, Idaho where they formed in May 2001. The raw melodic sound of the band with its chunky driving guitar riffs soon became one of the major forces in the local music scene. Soon after playing locally and creating a hungry fan base the band went into the studio for the first time. ROTT went into the studio in June 2002 and recorded their debut self-titled CD which has been played on mainstream rock station Rock 94 1/2 in Spokane, Washington. The European fans then took notice after ROTT received airplay in Greece. Soon, the band started receiving recognition from media and fans alike. They were contacted by Romanian webzine Metal Silvae and had a large promotion in Romania and Russia with incredible success. Emails from fans came pouring in and with the addition of a radio promotion in Greece which gave away free shirts from the band even more positive response from the fans followed.
