Dream Vacations is launching Yiddish Kultur Voyages which produces Yiddish culture festivals aboard river cruise vessels that explore Jewish Heritage sites along European waterways and are enhanced with daily supplemental lectures and headline-worthy entertainment related to Yiddish culture. The inaugural cruise is a full-ship charter of one of AmaWaterways' new ships AmaLea, which debuts in spring 2019, and departs from Budapest, Hungary on May 10, 2019.

During the cruise, participants will enjoy daily tours including tours to several Jewish Heritage sites along the Danube River in Hungary, Slovakia, Austria and Germany, and also have daily lectures on topics related to the history of the destinations or culture developed in the Yiddish-speaking communities in Europe, capped off with nightly performances by renowned interpreters of Yiddish music and song. Yiddish Kultur Voyages will provide a unique and memorable travel experience for all Yiddish enthusiasts as well as those just learning or gaining exposure to the richness of the culture. Director is tasked with developing a program of varied musical performances during the week-long voyage that informs and deepens the experience of the guests. Other performers who have confirmed their participation for the floating festival include
Daniel Kahn, a Berlin-based Yiddish songwriter and revolutionary cabaret artist, Lorin Sklamberg, Grammy Award-winning lead singer for the Klezmatics, virtuoso clarinetist and multi-instrumentalist Christian Dawid, and bass Anthony Russell accompanied by Dr. Alan Mason.
