NEW YORK (Top 40 Charts) - After just a month in store Santana's 'Shaman' album has sold more than 4 million copies worldwide. "The Game Of Love" single catch fire across Europe and Asia, as video becomes #1 most played on VH1!

The album with an all star cast has been well received by fans who made his last record 'Supernatural' the biggest of his career. "Supernatural' sold more than his previous collective 30 years works combined.

Arista recording artist Carlos Santana's international popularity comes to the fore as Shaman dominates album charts in more than a dozen countries throughout Europe and Asia, in advance of his headlining the Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo on December 11th, it was announced today by Antonio "L.A." Reid, President and CEO, Arista Records, who serves as executive producer of the new album. Shaman, which debuted at #1 and has shipped more than 2 million copies in the U.S. alone, accumulated Soundscan sales of over 725,000 units in its first 4 weeks of release and is the follow-up to Santana's 1999 worldwide 25 million-selling CD, Supernatural.

Shaman earned #1, #2 and top 5 national chart debuts everywhere from France, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Hungary, Italy, Spain, and Switzerland, to Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Thailand, with international sales already topping 2 million copies.

As in the U.S., the album is powered by its first single pick, "The Game Of Love," featuring multi-platinum singer Michelle Branch. The song, #1 on the European Music & Media Chart, is not only a #1/#2 hit in many of the aforementioned territories but also in Finland, Holland, Ireland, Japan, and Korea. Shaman also features collaborations with Dido, Citizen Cope, Placido Domingo, Macy Gray, Chad Kroeger, Alejandro Lerner, Musiq, Ozomatli, P.O.D., and Seal.

Global attention will focus on Oslo next month as former President Jimmy Carter receives the Nobel Peace Prize at the December 10th awards ceremonies. The next night, Santana, Laura Pausini, Willie Nelson, and Michelle Branch will headline the Nobel Peace Prize Concert, hosted by Sir Anthony Hopkins and Jessica Lange and airing nationally January 27, 2003 on the A&E network.

Back home in the U.S., "The Game Of Love" reached #7 on the US singles chart and #2 on the Adult Top 40 list. The promotional video, shot on location in Chicago by director Paul Fedor, is last week's #1 most played video on VH1 and ranked #10 most played on MTV.
On Thanksgiving night, November 28th, Santana is the only featured guest artist on the NBC television network special, "Faith Hill: When The Lights Go Down" TV Concert Special (9:00 p.m. ET, check local listings).
