Sarah Dash Takes The Stage At The Laurie Beechman Theater
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Sarah Dash Official Website) The legendary Sarah Dash returns to the stage with her one-woman show, Sarah Dash: One Woman on Saturday, February 18, 2012. Joining Sarah Dash on stage will be long-time friend, composer, and arranger, Lanny Meyers. Dash will perform hits from her solo career, jazz favorites, a Labelle medley, and selections from her new album, The Seventh Child.

"It feels great to be back on the stage with this show," said Dash. "The opportunity to share stories and anecdotes throughout the years makes it that much more special."

Dash's career began as a founding member (along with Patti Labelle and Nona Hendryx) of the Bluebelles and later as Labelle. Labelle wowed audiences with their glam-rock, R&B, hard rock, and funk hybrid sound that grabbed the attention of The Rolling Stones and The Who. Labelle opened for The Rolling Stones on their first US/Canadian tour in 1964 and later for The Who in the 1973 Quadrophenia tour.

Following the groups breakup in 1976, Labelle and Hendryx were signed solo contracts. However, Dash signed a multi-record deal with Don Kirshner Entertainment that garnered the most attention of the three. Kirshner Entertainment pushed Dash into the international spotlight, landing her a worldwide, smash, disco hit, Sinner Man. Sinner Man was an international hit in several countries as well as a nightly staple at Studio 54.

Dash starred in the re-make of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band in 1978, toured the world, performed live in a string of television appearances. In 1988 she recorded and toured with Keith Richards and the X-Pensive Winos and in 1989 Dash toured with The Rolling Stones for the Steel Wheels tour.

Dash recently released, I'm Still Here, the first single from her new album, The Seventh Child. The album is slated for a March release. Two forthcoming dance singles are expected for a spring release accompanied by a re-mix package, and a music video.

Join Sarah Dash at the Laurie Beechman Theatre in New York City's Theater district as she returns to the stage for her cabaret show, "Sarah Dash: One Woman." Dash will take the stage on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 7:30PM. To purchase tickets, visit www.spincyclenyc.com.
