The song was written by Shawn Mendes, Scott Harris, Thomas Hull, & Nate Mercereau and produced by Mendes, Kid Harpoon, & Mercereau. The album was recorded during a series of recording sessions in Rhinebeck, NY & Big Sur, CA over the past year.
