Alessandro Panzeri made it his main priority to promote indie-rock music in the city he was born, Naples. After significant contributions, Panzeri decided to move to Milan in 2013 and radically changed his approach to music, shifting from his Indie-rock roots to a singer-songwriter perspective. On the inspiration behind 'Goodbye', Old Fashioned Lover Boy said, "It's a song about Naples; the city where I was born and raised and left as an adult. It tells of when I come back to visit it and I feel as if nothing changes even if time passes. It is a melancholy song that speaks of leaving the past behind and living the present."
