Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy And The Conspirators To Perform New Single "Standing In The Sun" From 'Apocalyptic Love' Album On "Conan"
LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ MSO PR) SLASH featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators are set to perform their new single "Standing In The Sun" Thursday, October 4 on "Conan,"airing at 11:00 PM/10:00 PM CT 11/10c on TBS. Cited by RollingStone.com (5/20/12) as "a standout track," the song is off their acclaimed studio albumAPOCALYPTIC LOVE, released May 22 on SLASH's own label Dik Hayd International and distributed through EMI.

SLASH and his bandmates Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators-Myles Kennedy (vocals), Brent Fitz (drums), Todd Kerns (bass) and FrankSidoris (guitar)-are currently in the midst of their explosive fall headlining North American tour wrapping Wednesday, October 3 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. The trek has earned critical accolades along the way:

"Slash took center stage for an extended riff-fest that was almost mesmerizing in its relentlessness. His arms slicked with sweat, Slash's nimble playing was spine-tingling and his musicality simply inspiring…. The slow-burning "Starlight" and frantic musical exercise at the end of "Anastasia" bookended a Slash master class in guitar soloing that also demonstrated why he always winds up on those "best of" lists. He is one of the best, no doubt." -Atlanta Journal Constitution (9/13/12)

"A capacity audience of almost 3,000 heard the guitarist offer a survey of his remarkably productive career Thursday at the Midland Theater. His riveting two-hour appearance included material from his stints in Guns N' Roses, supergroup Velvet Revolver and his increasingly impressive solo career. His newApocalyptic Love is one of the strongest hard rock albums released since Guns 'N Roses' classic 1987 debut album Appetite For Destruction. Working with capable vocalist Myles Kennedy and the three additional men who comprise the Conspirators, Slash proved that his new material is no less bracing than his old favorites." -Bill Brownlee, Kansas City Star (9/28/12)

"Slash's new tunes-which accounted for a fourth of the 20-song set-sat nicely against the eclectic batch of songs from his eponymous debut solo album, which made up the largest portion of the set. It's a testament to Kennedy's prowess as a vocalist to be able to tackle songs originally sung by everyone from Scott Weiland and Axl Rose to Andrew Stockdale and Ian Astbury." - GuitarWorld.com (5/23/12)

Produced by Eric Valentine, who also did the same honors for his first disc, Slash, APOCALYPTIC LOVE stormed onto the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart at #4 and features the first single "You're A Lie," SLASH's first-ever #1 hit at rock radio. All the songs on the new album were written together bySlash and Myles Kennedy. SLASH and his band are riding a wave of critical acclaim with a four-star review in Revolver magazine noting: "Apocalyptic Love is at heart a collection of lean, high-octane rock-and-roll tunes built to be blasted out of open-top sports cars or, more suitably, open-air stadiums" (July 2012). Elsewhere, the Los Angeles Times said: "Fans of his work in GNR and Velvet Revolver will find much to embrace in the album's 13 tracks, ranging from the sneering rock hooks of 'You're a Lie' and the heavy metal grind of 'Halo' to the extended instrumental passages on 'Anastasia'" (May 24, 2012).
