Stephanie Kirkham, a Lancastrian songstress who shot to critical and public acclaim with her first album, 2003's That Girl, before a record-label closure left her without an imprint, but with plenty of fans and a plethora of unreleased would-be-pop masterpieces looking for a home. Three years later, Sunlight On My Soul the follow up arrived, melding pop, jazz, celtic folk and Tudor-esque madrigals, again impressing tastemakers from Uncut to Q Magazine, with plenty of ears then wondering where this talented young lady would go from there.
