NEW YORK (New West Records) - Best-selling terrormeister author Stephen King, in his debut column for Entertainment Weekly magazine, has once again acknowledged New West Records artists and cdstreet favorite Slobberbone as one of his favorite bands. Writing in his first monthly column for the magazine's August 8 issue, King says, Ask me to name the greatest rock & roll song of all time and I have to say its a three-way tie between Slobberbones Gimme Back My Dog, Count Fives Psychotic Reaction, and Elvis Costellos (Whats So Funny Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding. This is not the first time Stephen King has singled out the boys from Denton, Texas in print. In his 2001 novel Black House, the author had one of his characters raving about Slobberbone and Gimme Back My Dog, calling it a great rock n roll song. Slobberbone is currently taking some time off from the road after a non-stop tour in the U.S. and Europe that covered the first seven months of 2003. The band will resume touring shortly in support of their latest album, Slippage, released in September 2002.
