New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Some days you gotta give me some Jones or Merle or Johnny or even David Allan Coe and now that list will include some Steve Griggs as well.  The Steve Griggs Band hails out of Northern Texas and they have been on the road lighting up main stages at places such as Daytona Bike Fest, Inside The Walls - Salute to America, Beaumont State Fair, The Houston Livestock and Rodeo, and the Louisiana State Fair just to share a short list of places and events.

As a young man Steve Griggs heard the greats and it stuck with him, idolizing such country greats as Lefty Frizzell, Merle Haggard, and Willie Nelson.  There was just something about their music that was and remains deep within this man's soul.  When Steve turned out "Forth Worth To Bakersfield" it became crystal clear that this man is steeped in tradition and has a way with words.  Steve shares, "My songs are written from the heart, their honest and true to my roots."  Recently Steve received the Academy of Western Artists Award, Album of the year in The Pure Country category, was nominated this year by the good folks at the Ameripolitan Awards organization in their "Male Outlaw Artist Of The Year" category, received a prestigious award at Fort Sam Houston by the Department of The Army, and the Mayor of Jefferson City Missouri awarded Steve with the "Coin To The City".
