New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Elias Lycksell, 24, is an accomplished singer and a versatile artist. He is a songwriter and has a diploma in musical theatre. Now he releases his debut single "Stainless Steel", which has a strong message, it is about standing strong and daring to be who you are, despite what others think.
The song is written by himself and Eva Nordell.
- "I convey something in my lyrics that I think many people can relate to. I think many have felt like an outsider, felt excluded and not felt sufficient sometimes in their lives. With my music, I want to help others, in the same way that music helped me." Says Elias.
Music has always been a part of
Elias life. At a very young age he used to sit in his room at his parents house and listen to all kinds of music from around the world, everything from pop, electro, dance to hard rock, country music, oriental music, etc.
He sang in many different choirs as a kid and during his teen years, he starred in a gospel choir who did concerts with, among others, American-Swedish singer Cyndee Peters.
He wrote his first song at age 15.The inspiration for his music and lyrics he gets from nature, as he grew up in a small town surrounded by forests, mountains, rushing water and deep valleys.
Elias, born June 12, 1991, grew up in Lycksele which is located in the northern parts of Sweden.
Elias has profound roots in drama and musical theatre.
After high school, he studied two years of college with specialization music & theatre, thereafter he studied three years at the Ballet Academy's (Balettakademien) musical theatre education in Gothenburg, Sweden.
He gets his musical influences from artists and bands like Eurythmics,
Modern Talking, Lady Gaga, Robyn,
Michael Jackson and Stromae.
