LONDON, UK (Sony BMG UK) - The Dead 60s have been forced to cancel their performance at Glastonbury this morning (Friday 24th July). Festival organisers have closed The Other Stage and Pyramid Stage due to poor weather rendering the stages unsafe for use. Lightning has hit both stages and the entire site is flooded. At present it appears (details unconfirmed) that the first five bands on both stages have been forced to cancel their appearances. Their slots will not be rescheduled. The band made this statement: "We're absolutely gutted, not just for ourselves, but for all the other bands too. The Other Stage was struck by lightning at the time we were supposed to be performing, so we're quite relieved in some way that the organisers closed the stage. We're currently taking shelter in catering and have started on the brandy."
