LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ www.myspace.com/aflockofseagulls) - It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity ... Charles Dickens, A Tale of Two Cities.

Though these famous words came from Charles Dickens' classic novel, " A Tale of Two Cities", I cannot think of a better, or more perfect analogy to discribe the music, being both seen and heard, throughout the decade of the 1980's.
MTV was fresh on the scene, pioneering the whole new phenomenon of music videos, which kept many glued to their TV sets for hours on end. (And for many, still does.)

It was a time in music history when it was an entire decade of one continuous 'no holds barred,' knock down, drag out event, with contenders in many genres and sub genres competing for the unspoken championship title, known subliminally as air play on MTV, which had a huge impact and influence on what was being played on radio stations everywhere.

There was one band that seemed to dominate the programming on MTV, a band that took the music industry and audiences, quite by surprise, and completely by storm... That band was A Flock of Seagulls.

A Flock of Seagulls was that band that left even the rockers of the day, scratching their heads and saying, "would you get a load of that hair!"; and put Disco, which was dying, finally out of it's misery through shock alone. One could not categorize a Flock of Seagulls as Punk, certainly not Soul or Funk, not quite Pop, and though their hairdo's sometimes defied the laws of gravity, you could not place them into the genre of 'big haired Hard Rock.' Though none of us could quite figure out perzactly what genre A Flock of Seagulls fit into, one thing was for certain, they were major contenders, winning millions of fans worldwide, reflecting unbelievable record/cassette/CD sales, and gained major saturation on the programming of both MTV and radio stations everywhere, with back to back hits such as: "I Ran", "Space Age Love Song" and the Grammy-winning instrumental, "D.N.A." and more.

Regardless of whether their own trademark style was what scratched your musical itch or not, no one could deny, there was not another band like them! No question, A Flock of Seagulls were true innovators of 80's music. Almost as swiftly and shockingly as A Flock of Seagulls rose to the top to 'take the musical hill,' out of the blue, they seemingly disappeared off the music industry radar screen. ...That is until now!

Fans, start your grinning, and contenders hold tight to your linens, because A Flock of Seagulls are back for round two!

After enjoying measurable success as CEO of the esteemed Savant Records, founding member of AFoS, Mike Score has reformed the band, with Joe Rodriguez on Lead Guitar, Patrick Villalpando on Bass and Michael Brahm on drums. Currently in the works is a brand new CD, (title yet to be announced), which has the potential make their mark once again in music history, and regain their title as champions of the air waves. And of course, to promote their brand new CD, a tour is also in the works, as A Flock of Seagulls has recently been signed by CEO Tony Saldano, to the impressive and massive roster of T&T Management and Booking Agency , which is one of the most respected and renown names in management and booking in the music industry worldwide.

For further updates and info on A Flock of Seagulls' brand new CD, tour dates, and yes, Mike Score's amazing hair, one can visit their My Space site at www.myspace.com/aflockofseagulls, or just stick around, because if history repeats itself, they will be dominating the air waves and media programming once again.
