New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Partnership at Drugfree) Country singer and emerging artist
Hannah Michelle Weeks is collaborating with The Partnership at Drugfree.org and making drug abuse prevention her personal cause.
Making waves in the music industry since the age of 12, Weeks is now lending her inspiring and powerful voice to help educate others about one of our nation's most preventable health issues - teen substance abuse. A close friend of Weeks is in recovery from a teenage addiction to heroin, and having witnessed firsthand the devastation that drugs can have on family and friendships, she is working with The Partnership at Drugfree.org to provide support for those who are struggling through addiction, as well as their loved ones.
"I am excited and humbled by this opportunity to use my voice to help families realize they aren't alone and that The Partnership at Drugfree.org is there to support them all along their parenting journey," said Weeks. "It's my hope that my message is heard not only by my peers, but also by their parents as a call to action to keep their kids informed, healthy and safe."
Weeks kicks off this collaboration by donating 10 percent of the sales of her new self-titled CD, Hannah Michelle Weeks, to The Partnership at Drugfree.org, helping the national nonprofit further its mission of helping parents prevent, intervene in and find treatment for drug and alcohol use by their children. Proceeds from events hosted by Weeks will also go to the nonprofit and to the parents and families it serves.
"Over the course of the year, we will be working closely with Hannah to find new ways to collaborate and increase awareness around our shared goals," said Inga Glodowksi, Director of Major Gifts at The Partnership at Drugfree.org. "We are proud to welcome such a wonderful, talented and committed ambassador to our cause."

The organization also reaches families through its community education programs which focus on local drug and alcohol issues of concern for parents, youth and the Hispanic community.
