Three Songs From Bruce Springsteen's New Album 'High Hopes,' Will Be Used In The Jan. 12 Episode Of 'The Good Wife'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The critically acclaimed drama - and CBS' website - will be the unusual first official spots to listen to Bruce Springsteen 's 18th studio album, High Hopes , before its Jan. 14 release. Starting at 10 p.m. ET Sunday, until 7 p.m. ET on Jan. 13, fans can stream the album exclusively, in its entirety, at CBS.com/springsteen
And the Jan. 12 episode of Wife will feature snippets of three songs from the forthcoming album, including the title song (released as a single last month), Hunter of Invisible Game and The Ghost of Tom Joad, a new version of the title track of a 1995 album.

It's part of a deal between Springsteen's label, Columbia Records , and CBS to gain wider exposure for the album in an unconventional way, and lure his Baby Boomer fans to the show and the top-rated network's website. CBS paid a customary fee to license the songs for the episode.

"This is music I always felt needed to be released," Springsteen says in a statement announcing the CBS deal, to be unveiled today. "I felt they all deserved a home and a hearing."

High Hopes finds Bruce in a number of different musical settings, and includes the members of the E Street Band as well as guitarist Tom Morello and many additional players. Recorded in New Jersey, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Australia and New York City, High Hopes marks Bruce's 18th studio album and includes his own liner notes that detail the album's evolution.

Morello joined Bruce and the E Street Band on tour in Australia in March 2013 (sitting in for Steve Van Zandt), and became, as Bruce says, "my muse, pushing the rest of this project to another level." Besides his guitar playing on the album, Morello also duets with Bruce on "The Ghost of Tom Joad." Clarence Clemons, who passed away in 2011, and Danny Federici, who passed away in 2008, also appear on several songs of what Springsteen calls "some of our best unreleased material from the past decade."

To celebrate the album's announcement, director Thom Zimny built a collage featuring photos from Danny Clinch, Australian tour footage featuring Tom Morello shot by Chris Hilson, and vintage documentary footage set to the title song. Click here to watch the video now.
