Tom Speight Shares Newest Single 'If This Is How The Story Ends'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The latest single from the London-based melodic storyteller Tom Speight, 'If This Is How the Story Ends' embodies a desperate yearning for the light at the end of the tunnel, though it may seem impossible to reach. 'If This Is How the Story Ends' is the second instalment of Tom's third studio album, scheduled for the summer/autumn of 2023. Already achieving over 200 million streams and 1 million monthly listeners on all streaming platforms, the latest single will be released on the 10th of February, 2023, via Nettwerk Music.

'If This Is How the Story Ends' is a poignant single built from desperation and heartache, capturing the raw emotions of trying to cling to the fading embers being suffocated by turmoil and uncertainty. Matching the dearest of themes with Tom's intimate style, its acoustic backdrop helps to personify the melancholic yet wistful feelings. 'If This Is How the Story Ends' is a powerful reminder of the lengths we will go to hold onto the ones we love, even when staring into the face of heartbreak and defeat.

Diving deep into his personal experiences, Tom states that, "'If This Is How The Story Ends' tackles my parent's divorce & realisation that some things aren't always meant to be but having the hope/love that you can keep things together. It was inspired by acts like Sufjan Stevens & Jose Gonzalez with its intimate acoustic nature."

With two standout albums already under his belt, nods that were once directed towards Damien Rice, Sufjan Stevens and John Mayer are now diverging towards Dermot Kennedy, Tom Grennan or a lyrically-minded Tom Odell. 'If This Is How the Story Ends' follows on from the style-evolving single 'The One', that was featured in the Independent's track of the week with more praise from the likes of Wonderland, METAL, Headliner, Music News, and VOUZ!.

Riding the spirited waves of his sophomore album 'Everything's Waiting for You', Tom has seen his numbers feature on both the big and small screen with the likes of To All the Boys, Sex Lives of College Girls, The Voice, Strictly, Masterchef, as well as being the most played artist in 2021's season of Love Island. Tom has been featured in TV appearances, sharing both his work and story on the likes of ITV News, Channel 5 News, BBC Breakfast, BBC News, Sky News, and the Sara Cox TV Show, to name but a few, in addition to press accolades from the likes of The Telegraph, The Times, The Metro, and The Daily Mail.

Over the years, Tom's work has been celebrated worldwide, with massive support from the UK, Australia, Brazil, and Germany. In addition to supporting an incredible line-up of artists like James Bay, Tom Grennan, Stereophonics, and Maisie Peters, to name a few. Having garnered over 200 million streams across his works, Tom is in a perfect position to start looking towards a bright future.
