Tors Share New Single 'Lonely'

New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Rising indie-pop trio Tors have a real ear for an irresistible melody, a skill that has seen their own songs and high profile co-writes (with Declan J Donovan and Dean Lewis) exceed 500 million streams and earn airplay from Radio 1 and Radio 2. Having recently returned with the single 'Garden On The Kitchen Floor', Tors saw their monthly listeners soar by 33%. Their summer now continues as they share their new single 'Lonely'.

'Lonely' is a song that reflects on those early friendships that felt like everything at the time. While nostalgia for those simpler times is a big part of the song's appeal, it's also about accepting that things change. Some friendships prosper for a lifetime, but others gradually fade away as the demands of adult life take over. Yet within the melancholy atmosphere created by Tors' sumptuous vocal harmonies, maybe there is actually a fragment of hope. A quick call to reconnect when you're lonely may salvage the friendship - it doesn't have to be as intense as it once was, but it can still be a positive experience.

Tors commented, "'Lonely' is a song about those formative friendships and relationships we make throughout childhood and adolescence. Those hometown, share-everything, drinks on the roof, skipping school kind of bonds that become your whole world for that short, innocent time. Then life slowly kicks in, you move away, you get jobs and slowly but surely you drift apart never releasing what you really had until it's gone."

Tors produced 'Lonely' alongside the multi-platinum hitmaker Tom Martin (Kygo, David Guetta, Alesso). They also co-wrote the song with Lina Hansson (nominated for Songwriter of the Year at Sweden's Dalecarlia Music Awards) and her regularViolet Days collaborator Kristoffer Eriksson.
