New York, NY (Top40 Charts / Atom Factory) Today, music manager, investor and entrepreneur Troy Carter announced Atom Factory is now accepting applications for its new startup accelerator, SMASHD LABS, set to launch on
September 14, 2015 in Culver City, CA. With roots in music management - representing John Legend, Miguel, Meghan Trainor, and Lindsey Stirling, to name a few - Atom Factory also recently launched tech and culture editorial platform Smashd.co in March 2015. Through SMASHD LABS, Atom Factory will invest $50,000 in each of the 5-7 participating companies, ultimately pairing them with brand partners and mentors to accelerate growth. All companies must demonstrate the ability to influence and shape entertainment & culture.

The Atom Factory team, led by Troy Carter, who has 70+ personal investments in his portfolio including Uber, Spotify, Dropbox, Warby Parker and Lyft, will serve as mentors in the accelerator, being joined by leading influencers within academia, brand management, legal, communications and finance. Invited companies will spend 10 weeks co-working from Atom Factory's offices, progressing through curriculum that spans product development, design thinking, communications planning, the art of influence, and funding.
