UMPG Appoints Alexandra Lioutikoff As Executive VP, Latin Music
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) has appointed Latin music trailblazer Alexandra Lioutikoff as Executive Vice President, Latin Music, a role where she will lead the company's regional Latin American and U.S. Latin operations based in Miami.

The announcement was made by Jody Gerson, Chairman and CEO of UMPG, and Evan Lamberg, President - North America.

Most recently VP Membership, U.S. Latin & Latin America at ASCAP, Lioutikoff joined ASCAP in 1998 as head of the Latin Membership Department overseeing offices in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Puerto Rico and Texas. Under her management, ASCAP expanded the division into the Latin Rock and Urban genres, increased payments to be the most competitive in the industry, and subsequently grew to dominate the Latin market. Her signings have included superstar artists and writers such as Lin Manuel Miranda (of the Broadway musical Hamilton) Joan Sebastian, Ricardo Arjona, Marco Antonio Solis, Alejandra Guzman, Daddy Yankee, Tito El Bambino and Mario Domm, among others.

In making the announcement, Gerson said: "I'm thrilled to have Alexandra join our team and lead UMPG's U.S. Latin and Latin American operation. Her strong relationships with artists, songwriters, record labels and publishers have always impressed me, and her extensive experience in the complex world of Latin American societies is truly exceptional. She is extremely passionate about Latin Music and will be a tremendous asset to our stellar roster of artists and writers."

Jesus Lopez, Chairman and CEO of Universal Music Latin America and Iberian Peninsula, added: "For years Alexandra has shown that she possesses all of the qualities of an executive most appreciated in this business, both in A&R and administration. I¹m very pleased she will be joining Universal Music Publishing."

"I am thrilled to be given this incredible opportunity by Jody Gerson to join the best music publisher in the world. I look forward to working closely with our U.S. and Latin teams to foster the rich creative environment that UMPG is known for," said Lioutikoff.

At ASCAP Lioutikoff produced the very successful ASCAP Latin Awards (Los Premios de ASCAP), created ASCAPLatino.com, as well as launched the Song Camp Series, which brings together Latin and Anglo writers to connect and collaborate.

Prior to ASCAP, Lioutikoff held senior roles at The Walt Disney Company in Regional Marketing & Distribution, Latin America, and at PolyGram Records as Regional Manager, U.S. Latin.

Lioutikoff has been featured three times on Billboard's Latin Power Players list, and was named one of "25 Most Powerful Women" in The Hollywood Reporter's Hispanic Women in Entertainment report.
