UNIVERSAL CITY, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Universal CityWalk) - A spectacular fireworks display and thousands of pounds of confetti will blast into the night sky for Southern California's largest, free outdoor New Year's Eve Countdown Bash at Universal CityWalk featuring energetic DJ's, live music and non-stop excitement leading up to the countdown to 2008 at The Entertainment Capital of L.A.
The free celebration begins at 9:00 pm on December 31, 2007 with a global countdown from New York City's Times Square ball drop, while DJ's will spin popular music from Universal's iconic globe and Cinema Plaza. The popular 80's cover band, "Fast Times" will jam on the main stage beginning at 10:00 pm creating an unforgettable dance party on the street leading up to the countdown.
The evening will culminate when the clock strikes midnight with a sensational fireworks display and thousands of pounds of confetti blanketing the energetic crowd.
CityWalk's popular night spots including B.B. King's Blues Club, Cafe Tu Tu Tango, Hard Rock Cafe, Howl at the Moon, Jillian's Hi-Life Lanes, Rumba Room and Saddle Ranch Chop House will be offering drink and live entertainment specials for New Year's Eve.
Rounding out The Entertainment Capital of L.A.'s exciting New Year's Eve party options, the Gibson Amphitheatre will be featuring the Chris Brown and Bow Wow concert with Sean Kingston, Soulja Boy and Shop Boyz on December 31.
Leading up to the New Year's Eve Countdown Bash, CityWalk will amp up the entertainment with daily concert performances from popular bands beginning at 7:30 pm from December 27 - December 30. Rocking the mainstage will be Ayre, Go Betty Go, Paper Back Hero and Anastasia.
