New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Having amassed over five million streams and accounting, "1999" has been storming charts across the globe since its release last Friday. This morning Charli XCX unveils the official music video for "1999" feat. Troye Sivan -- watch the video below!

Co-produced by XCX alongside Ryan Staake (Diplo, J.Cole), the official music video which stars both artists, pays homage to 1999. It's jam-packed with nostalgia from that year across music, film and technology, seeing Charli and Troye channelling the following cultural references: American Beauty, Steve Jobs, TLC, Titanic, Spice Girls, New Radicals, Backstreet Boys, Eminem, Marilyn Manson and Dita Von Teese, Baby G, The Sims, Nokia, Dancing Baby, The Matrix, Justin Timberlake, The Blair Witch Project and more.

A true visionary, this isn't the first time Charli's turned her hand to her official videos. For her 2017 summer anthem "Boys", XCX took full creative control across casting, directing and producing the official video, which was released to global critical-acclaim and commanded a blockbuster cast including Khalid, G Eazy, Portugal. The Man, DRAM, Diplo and Joe Jonas - to name a few.
