iZotope Takes Home Two NAMM TEC Awards
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ iZotope, Inc.) iZotope's Pro Audio Essentials and Ozone 7 Advanced have won awards for Outstanding Technical Achievement at the 32nd Annual NAMM Technical Excellence & Creativity (TEC) Awards, the highest honor within the pro audio and sound recording industry. The NAMM TEC Awards recognize the most outstanding products in the world of music making, live performance, video games, television and film. The awards were announced on Saturday, January 21 during the NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA.

Following a TEC Award win for Ozone 4 in 2009 and a nomination for Ozone 5 in 2012, Ozone 7 Advanced won the "Signal Processing Software (Dynamics/EQ/Utilities)" category. A set of mastering tools, Ozone 7 Advanced enables professionals and aspiring producers to easily add a final level of polish to their mixes and audio recordings. Building on iZotope's reputation for superior sound quality and mastering tools, Ozone 7 brings the best sonic characteristics of analog hardware to modern digital recordings. In a new category for 2017, iZotope's Pro Audio Essentials was named the inaugural "Audio Education Technology" award winner. Pro Audio Essentials is a free game-based course for music producers to practice and improve their audio skills. An online educational experience, it is the first of its kind in the audio education space, offering a unique combination of audio games, ear training and instructional videos that help music makers grow and develop in an interactive learning environment. With instruction designed by mastering expert Jonathan Wyner, iZotope's Director of Education, Pro Audio Essentials reflects iZotope's deep-rooted passion for education. More information on Pro Audio Essentials can be found at https://pae.izotope.com/.

"At iZotope, our goal is to drive audio quality that helps musicians realize their artistic vision, and we achieve this through cutting-edge, intuitive technology and a strong emphasis on education," says Mark Ethier, iZotope's CEO and co-founder. "The team here at iZotope is humbled to receive these two awards, and we thank our passionate community members, industry peers and the TEC Award voters for this honor."

Also nominated this year were iZotope's audio repair and editing suite, RX 5, and VocalSynth, iZotope's vocal synthesizer and multi-effect processor. iZotope was one of five companies to receive double honors. In total, the company has won seven TEC awards, including wins last year for RX 4 Advanced and Iris 2.
