Radio 1, the EP is GRACEY's first full length body of work this year. Fragile explores heartbreak and sadness in a way only GRACEY can do: marrying instant ear worms with striking vulnerability.
Speaking about the EP, GRACEY explains, "I'm so excited!! To be honest, I wasn't anticipating on writing and releasing an EP this year, especially not one this heartbreaking and personal (…shout out to my recent break up), but as I started writing, I found it cathartic addressing my recent experiences and emotions and it all came together so naturally. I thought about how putting these songs out into the world it, regardless of how scary it feels right now, might actually make someone else in a similar headspace to feel a little more heard and understood, which is the whole reason I wanted to be an artist to begin with. 'Sad Song' in particular is one I'm buzzing to have out. It's about the time I saw my ex getting with a new girl, and got in an Uber home that happened to be blasting 'I Got A Feeling' by the
Black Eyed Peas, which felt like a cruel, ironic prank. I basically sat in the back feeling like a loser, crying and desperately searching for my headphones in need of heartbreak huns
Joni Mitchell and Adele. These songs are about those fragile moments. The moments where you can't imagine how you're going to get through it at the time, but you do, so if you're in need of a sad song, I got you covered."
The EP is released today alongside new single 'Sad Song' and its visualizer, which you can watch here. An instant GRACEY classic, both intensely vulnerable and dance floor ready, 'Sad Song' details crying alone in the back of a taxi, yet another visceral and heartbreakingly relatable experience that GRACEY is able to convey so uniquely. 'Sad Song' follows the EP's lead single 'What A Waste' and follow up 'the internet' as well as her spring single 'Got You Covered', which saw her reunite with the most in demand writer/producers in the country Billen Ted. GRACEY and Billen Ted's previous single, their top 10 hit 'Don't Need Love' with 220KID was nominated for Best British Single at the BRIT Awards 2021 last month - scoring GRACEY's first ever nomination.
