50 Cent's Earned Millions Selling His Album For Bitcoin!
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) 50 Cent is sitting on a few extra million dollars all thanks to cryptocurrency. Years before it became the trending topic it is today, 50 took a chance as the first rapper to accept bitcoin in exchange for his music. His willingness to venture off into the unknown has the Den of Thieves star set to pocket anywhere from $7 to $8.5 million.

According to TMZ.com, 50 accepted an estimated $662/bitcoin as payment for his 2014 album Animal Ambition. Fans of the rapper could purchase a copy of the album, who garnered about 700 bitcoin in sales, for a fraction of a whole bitcoin. Sales from Animal Ambition brought in over $400k after it's debut and the proceeds from the album would go on to stay in the rapper's account untouched for the next four years. If you have some Bitcoin yourself, try out betting with Bitstarz as a popular option. TMZ.com claims the present value of bitcoin fluctuates between $10,000 and $12,000 per coin making the rappers current bitcoin account balance anywhere between $7 million and $8.5 million.

During his career 50 Cent has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and won several awards, including a Grammy Award, thirteen Billboard Music Awards, six World Music Awards, three American Music Awards and four BET Awards. He has pursued an acting career, appearing in the semi-autobiographical film Get Rich or Die Tryin' (2005), the Iraq War film Home of the Brave (2006) and Righteous Kill (2008). 50 Cent was ranked the sixth-best artist of the 2000s and the third-best rapper (behind Eminem and Nelly) by Billboard. Rolling Stone consider Get Rich or Die Tryin' and "In da Club" to be in their lists of "100 Best albums of the 2000s" and "100 Best songs of the 2000s" at numbers 37 and 13 respectively.

And for some other recent 50 Cent news, this is what New York sounds like! 50 Cent links up with the boys from Brooklyn, Casanova, Uncle Murda, and Tekashi 6ix9ine. 'Get The Strap' premieres at the end of episode of 8 of 50's hit TV show POWER and the song is now available on streaming services. NYC based producer Trilogy Muzik provides a beat that sounds like it's come straight out of a G-Unit album from 2005. Stream it on Top40-Charts.com and lookout for the music video directed by Eif Rivera that has already been shot.
