Atlanta Artist Pearson Perry Releases Album 'She Didn't Mean To Write'
Atlanta, GA (Top40 Charts/ Pearson Perry Music) Pearson Perry releases Run Real Fast, a collection of country songs she wrote while working with a Nashville publisher, and an album she never meant to write.

A folk-rocker by birth, Perry never expected to release a country album. In fact, she took time off from gigging to explore the craft of songwriting and learn the publishing side of the business.

"I got to a point where I knew I was really good at writing indie rock pissed-off girl songs," says Perry. "However, I wanted to do more than that and I saw an opportunity to push myself creatively by writing commercial country music - so I took it. But never in a million years did I think I'd be selling a country album on CD Baby."

And yet, that's exactly what has happened. Over the years of working with her publisher, a few of the songs had special meaning for Perry. She toyed with the idea of putting out a collection and on a whim, put the concept up on Pledge Music, a crowd sourcing site. The project was funded by fans and an album was born.

"The cool thing about Run Real Fast is that when I wrote all of these songs I had no idea I was telling my story. Songs were written for commercial pitches so I had other artists in mind." In fact, I'm Here - track 3, was inspired by the obituary for Emily Saliers' (Indigo Girls) mom.

However, as the project came together, Perry started realizing that these songs really were about her and her experiences with love and loss over the last few years. "As a songwriter, I normally write songs to express my feelings in any given moment. This is the first time a song has shown me how I was feeling after it was written. It's an insanely cool moment to realize you wrote something so personal without knowing it," says Perry.

Perry is excited about the early buzz on the album and is looking forward to getting back to touring to promote the album. For more information, visit her website www.pearsonperrymusic.com.
