Avicii To Release "The Days" On October 3rd, First Single From 2015 Album
LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ d.baron Media) PRMD/Island Records global superstar DJ/producer and RIAA quadruple-platinum selling artist Avicii, aka Tim Bergling, will release "The Days" on October 3rd, the first single from his upcoming album set for 2015. "The Days" is a testament to Avicii's consistently evolving musical ethos, which led to him being ranked #1 Most Shazamed Artist In the World for 2013. "The Days" is ready for pre-order now.

Find out more about the new single and upcoming album in Avicii's exclusive interview with Billboard Magazine on Friday, October 3 (issue dated October 11). He'll discuss songwriting, and share thoughts about the new album and musical inspirations and influences on the new tracks.

Avicii's upcoming album follows Avicii's debut album True (released September 2013), which has sold over 5 million copies worldwide to date. True spun off a quartet of smash hits that have dominated the dance/electronic music charts globally for over one year: "Wake Me Up," "You Make Me," "Hey Brother" and "Addicted To You." The New York Times proclaimed Avicii "an artist carrying today — and tomorrow — on his shoulders." The album went on to earn top Critics Poll picks in Rolling Stone, Spin, and more.

"Wake Me Up," Avicii's RIAA quadruple-platinum career-defining single had 23.7 million international single sales and charted #1 in a mammoth 84 territories, including the UK where it set a record for the fastest-selling single of the year. "Wake Me Up" was named the Most Streamed Song Of All Time on Spotify with over 318 million worldwide single streams to date and was the #2 Most-Shazamed Song In the World. The video for "Wake Me Up" has logged over 659 million combined YouTube views, and iTunes sales of more than 8.85 million.

The single Spotify's Year In Review had "Wake Me Up" ranked #2 Global Track of 2013, and 24-year old Avicii ranked #2 Global Artist of 2013, and #1 Most Influential Artist in the World Under 25. He went on to win his first American Music Award, as Favorite Electronic Music Artist, and his first MTV Europe Music Award (EMA) for Best Electronic Artist. Into 2014, Avicii was named World's Best Electronic Dance Artist at the World Music Awards, and "Wake Me Up" won Top Dance/Electronic Song at the Billboard Music Awards, and EDM Song Of The Year at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
