LOS ANGELES (Chopper City Records) - With over 7 million album sales to his credit, B.G., proves that he's still the heart of the streets as his new Chopper City Records album, The Heart Of Tha Streetz: Vol.2 (I Am What I Am) debuts at No 6 on The Billboard Top 200 Chart and No 1 on the Independent Album Charts. The album sold over 63,000 units in the United States according to Nielsen SoundScan.

B.G. who received the good news while at his album release party in New Orleans enthused, "This album is a dedicated to my fans, my family, Chopper City Records staff, and all the people who stuck with me through the highs and the lows. We gotta keep representing this music for New Orleans and I'm glad that people love the album. This is only the beginning for the comeback kid."

Carol Dorsey, co-CEO of the label along with B.G. added, "We're so excited for B.G. and this is a great achievement for Chopper City Records and for B.G. considering how far he's come. B.G. has been drug-free for three years and is completely focused on maintaining his position at the top. We've propelled Chopper City from the ground-up, maintained a presence in the streets with his core fanbase, and as usual the people have chosen. We're gonna continue to grind so this records stays high on the charts."

Anel Pla of S.W.A.P. Management (B.G./Chopper City's management firm) added, "It's a huge accomplishment for this album to be the only hip-hop release in the top 10 this week, considering that Chopper City Records is an independent label. This achievement is result of B.G.'s dedication to his music and the tenacity of our team. Now that we've proven what we can do on our own, we can't wait to see where we can go with the backing of a major label." Chopper City will announce its major label deal shortly.

The first week success of the album's sales can be attributed partly to the success of the first single, "Move Around," which marked the long-awaited reunion between B.G. and super-producer, Mannie Fresh. The song is currently at over 1,500 spins at urban radio while the video co-directed by Dayo & Gil Green. The music video world premiered on YAHOO MUSIC! and is currently in rotation on AOL Music, BET, and MTV2. The video is currently in the Top 10 on BET 106th & Park.

Chopper City Records distributed by Koch, B.G. has released a string of underground classic including Livin' Legend (2003), Life After Ca$h Money (2004), and The Heart of Tha Streetz: Vol. 1 (2005) each selling over 300,000 proving to the industry that there indeed life after Cash Money. B.G. has a history of chart-topping albums, his first album, "Chopper City in the Ghetto" (released in April of 1999), debuted at Number 1 on Billboard's Top 200 Charts.
