DALLAS, TX. (Top40 Charts/ CJ Robinson Tsunami Group) - Hometown rap artist B-Hamp makes his debut representing Dallas, Texas with his solo album B Dash. The album dropping on May 19, 2009 is the first release from local independent label CKB Entertainment and also the first hip-hop release from Malaco Music Group.
The success of the first single 'Do The Ricky Bobby' catapulted B-Hamp into the limelight at lightening speed with features in Entertainment Weekly, XXL Magazine as well as Allhiphop.com and most recently he smashed his first National TV performance on BET's 106 & Park. The video for 'Do The Ricky Bobby' is in heavy rotation on BET, MTV Jams and Music Choice TV stations.

"We can't believe the success of B-Hamp as a brand new artist and have all worked so hard to get this project to the level is has achieved and see the sky as the limit to the future of B-Hamp and CKB Entertainment," says Rickey Booker CEO of CKB Entertainment.

A follow up street single, 'Don't Say Nothing' is currently hitting the airwaves across the South from Texas to Atlanta and gaining continued momentum, as fans demand more music from B-Hamp. The official second single is entitled 'Put You On', which is a grown and sexy song, a different look from B-Hamp and features Daron Jones of the R&B group 112 who not only lends his voice to the single but also produced the hot track.

B-Hamp and CKB Entertainment will be hosting his album release party on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 in Dallas to celebrate the debut of B Dash. "B-Hamp is making his mark not only on the Dallas music scene but on the music scene in general with his rapid rise to the top with his single 'Do The Ricky Bobby," says CKB Entertainment's A&R Derryl Williams.

Invited guests to the event include players from the Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Cowboys as well as local celebrities and special fans who will have a chance to win tickets from the local radio stations.

B-Hamp has also been recognized as an artist, nominated by The Quick Big Thing Music Awards in Dallas, Texas. 'Do The Ricky Bobby' has been nominated in the Big Song category and B-Hamp has been nominated in the Big Solo Artist category. "I am excited to be nominated for the awards and glad to have the support of the people of the DF Dub," says B-Hamp. The Quick Music Awards will be held on June 5th, 2009 at the Granada Theater.

B-Hamp will be on tour to promote his album beginning May 18, 2009 and shooting the video to 'Put You On' in Los Angeles in early June for release later that month.
