Indie Pop From The Society
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The Society began with Lew Whalley (guitar / backing vocals) & Harry Beresford (lead singer / guitar) who met at Trafford Music College Manchester. Late 2015 saw the arrival of drummer Jason Hanley, followed by bass player Tayte Nickols.

Drawing comparisons to other Indie Pop artists like The 1975, Coldplay & Bastille, the band have steadily grown their fan base in and around the North West following a string of successful live performances leading them to sign with Kidda Records in June 2016.

The Society's debut single Begging was recorded at the acclaimed Catalyst Studios St Helens and produced by Sugarhouse's Lee McCarthy & Ady Hall who earned widespread praise for their work with Viola Beach.

Infectious melodies and harmonies that prove the feel good factor in the British indie scene
Merc Clothing

In Begging you have a summery ear-catching blend of guitar-driven indie, dance-pop that would be easily at home at any club or festival
Rachel Brown Northern Exposure

Another band coming off the Manchester music production line with catchy Bastillion flavoured rascal of a tune Begging
Daz Manc Salford City & Manchester Radio

The Society are causing quite a stir in Manchester and its no wonder, their debut single Begging is a tight, melodic track, guaranteed to fill the dance floor!
Ralphs Life Radio KC

From listening to Begging you can easily see how comparisons are being made to The 1975 and Bastille. A great track from a band to keep your eye on!
Matt Barker Matt Barker Radio
