Indie Rocker KAIS Releases New Single 'Spirit City Kiss'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) KAIS gives us some indie rock sugar in his latest single, Spirit City Kiss! If you've ever felt homesick for a city that you can't technically call home, but your soul can, KAIS' latest single, Spirit City Kiss, is sure to resonate. The Canadian, Jordan-born, Cyprus-based artist gave his listeners more than geographical nostalgia through Spirit City Kiss; with his alt-90s-inspired grungy tones, you'll be thrown right back to the glory days when partisanism revolved around who you preferred, Oasis or Blur.

The dreamy accordance of the alt-indie guitars and synths also pulls through in the vocals and lyrics, allowing the track to boast a sensually psychedelic atmosphere that you'll want to be enveloped in time and time again. Spirit City Kiss does far more than leave you with wanderlust to return to the city that it metaphysically takes you to; it speaks of the largely unspoken tendency for people to feel spiritually alienated and disconnected in their current environment.

KAIS' sound may be constantly in-flux, but the singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer's career is consistently gaining traction. He's a rare kind of artist that you discover, and as soon as you get a hint of the profound value of the lyrics, you want nothing more than for his invaluable introspection to fill stadiums. We can't wait to hear what his upcoming EP holds or see where his sound takes him next.

KAIS said: "This single represents love found in a city you connect or identify with spiritually. You might not live in that city anymore, but in some mystic and synchronous way, it always tends to call you back in manifested forms that only your mind, heart and soul recognise."

KAIS (Kais Khoury) is a Canadian, Jordan-born singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and music producer renowned for his unique fusions of indie, psych, soul, folk and blues.

For KAIS, music isn't just a form of expression; it is also a tool to positively influence others; his earlier music explored world issues such as global warming and war; today, he is utilising meta poetry to illustrate what words can't say alone about what it means to be human.

Away from music, he's sating his wanderlust desires, travelling the globe and has been gracing stages since the early 00s. In 2014, he took part in the Mayor of London Big Busk. In 2014, he also graduated with a diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering (Point Blank Music College). With a full band, he performed throughout Vancouver, BC, Toronto, ON and Seattle, WA in 2016 and 2017.

Recent achievements include an Honorary Mention in the 2016 International Songwriting Competition, a Canadian Best Out of Province nomination at the 13th Annual Toronto Independent Music Awards and a Lyrics Finalist in the 2017 USA Songwriting Competition.

As of October 2018, having moved back to the Middle East to support his family business, KAIS inaugurated his state of the art Recording Studio on the island of Cyprus; he plans to use it for his six-track EP, due for release in September 2021.
