New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Universal Motown Records) - Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter-television host-actress KELLY ROWLAND has hit No. 1 on the Billboard Dance/Club Play Songs chart with 'Commander,' featuring David Guetta, the white-hot party anthem from her forthcoming self-titled album, due out on Universal Motown Records on September 21, 2010. The infectious dance track bumps Lady Gaga's 'Alejandro' from the top spot three weeks after the futuristic music video for 'Commander,' directed by celebrated Japanese lensman Masashi Muto and choreographed by Fatima Robinson, premiered on VEVO to critical acclaim, receiving more than 2 million views to date.

Named by Entertainment Weekly as this year's 'Summer Jam No. 1,' 'Commander' was produced by renowned dance guru David Guetta and written by Grammy winner Rico Love, whose songwriting credits include hits with Beyonc, Nelly, and Usher, among others. The combustible club reaction to 'Commander,' which is a Top 10 hit on the UK Singles chart, marks the second colossal collaboration for ROWLAND and Guetta, whose 2009 Grammy-winning smash, 'When Love Takes Over,' from Guetta's album, One Love, skyrocketed to the top of the charts around the world.

That success is likely to be repeated with the release of two new singles, 'Rose Colored Glasses,' which has been serviced to Top 40 and Pop Rhythm Crossover radio formats, and 'Grown Woman,' which broke out of the gate as the No. 1 most-added track at Urban AC radio no sooner than it was serviced to Urban Mainstream, Urban AC, and Urban Rhythm Crossover.

Wowing audiences worldwide, KELLY ROWLAND is traveling around the globe to promote the upcoming release of her hotly anticipated third solo album, featuring collaborations with Stargate, Dr. Luke, Ne-Yo, Salaam Remi, Esther Dean, and of course, David Guetta. In addition to gracing the cover of the July 2010 issue of the Cosmopolitan magazine in South Africa, she recently appeared on The Graham Norton Show and BBC Breakfast in the UK, where 'Commander' is enjoying heavy rotation at MTV, Radio 1, Choice FM, BBC 1Xtra, and Kiss FM.

Featured as July's Trendspotter of the Month on Music Choice's original program, Speaking Of..., KELLY ROWLAND is also making a splash in the U.S. Among other highlights, she performed alongside Cyndi Lauper and Estelle at the amfAR Inspiration Gala in New York City on June 4, presented at VH1's Hip-Hop Honors, sat for a juicy interview with Perez Hilton while in LA to headline a Gay Pride concert, appeared in a gorgeous fashion spread for Elle.com, and opens up about her personal and professional evolution in the June 25 issue of Entertainment Weekly.
KELLY ROWLAND IN STORES SEPTEMBER 21, 2010.
