LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ LIL ILL Official Website) - Born Henry Michael Rush on August 5th, 1990 in San Bernardino,it was known he would make a big mark on the world. Lil iLL started rapping at the tender age of 5 years old. He started out by rapping to "Tupac" songs and "
Snoop Dogg" (then "Snoop Doggy Dogg")songs. At the age of 8, he began writing his own songs. In the sixth grade he won a talent show at King Middle School in San Bernardino, CA, then again in the seventh and eighth grades at Del Vallejo Middle School. When he started high school he began recording on CD's and came out with his premiere demo album, he called "
The Beginning".
When he was in the tenth grade, he held a concert at Pacific high school in San Bernardino, CA. By this time, his already large fan base has grown significantly larger. He developed alot of respect during lunch time as friends would make beats on the tables, and he would battle rival rappers. He went undefeated as the people around the table would vote for the winner. He then began establishing himself on the high school scene as he began rapping with classmates in their homemade recording studios. He started his recording career with a group called "PTO", which stood for PlayTime's Over. There, he created what would later be known as "neighborhood hits". These sold many copies around the San Bernardino, CA area. One of these called "My Street" was played on a small radio station in Arizona, with listeners only in the couple of thousands. Shortly after, he dropped his sophomore demo album entitled "Most Wanted". He sold close to two hundred copies, reason being he was only exposed to a small area. Shortly after, Lil iLL and PTO parted ways in 2005 because of creative differences.
He began rapping in a another homemade studio in Colton, CA with a group called Rockstar. Among them was Julian Brown who would later be known as Oktane of Audio Push, the co-creator of the hit song "Teach Me How To Jerk". After recording a two solo songs there, he departed in 2006 due to more creative differences. After taking a break that lasted almost a year, LiL iLL created his own music studio. In his studio, he had only a sock wrapped microphone and some recording software on his computer. A few months later, he dropped his third demo album entitled "Back In The Game". Due to many deaths of friends, and supporters, he was unable to promote his CD to the fullest extent, and only sold about 100 CD's.
Most recently he has decide to re-release his third album, "Back in The Game" with new songs added to the playlist. From his new songs, three have been played on the internet. His hit song "The Girl Next Door" features Nikko who has previously collaborated with Jive Records on the gospel level. This song along with "I Like That", and "Just Move" have been played on radio stations, like The "Westside Will Show" in Naperville, IL and "Noyz Radio" in New York. On Noyz Radio, LiL iLL was played for a listening base of more than 8 million people. From that he received a fan base that stretches into the 100,000s from New York into Illinois, Arizona and California. He has been scouted and left offers to appear in collaborations with artists on various indie labels. He has decided to promote his music more, and wait to be heard by a Major Label. His demo album release "Back in The Game" is highly anticipatd though no release date is set. He awaits a major deal where he can work on an album reflecting themes of his life entitled "A Mic and a Sock" reflecting on his days of recording with his sock wrapped microphone.LiL iLL can be contacted at his myspace page at https://www.myspace.com/flashyakamrlrgpto
