Lil Wayne Announces He's A Member Of Roc Nation!
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Lil Wayne says he's part of the Roc Nation family. During a show at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania, the New Orleans native told the crowd that he's a member of Roc Nation.
Tunechi confirmed his new status. "Is it cool if I just say it?" he asked. "It's the Roc! You know I'm a member of that team now." Then, he held up the R-O-C diamond that Jay Z made famous.

Weezy has been pledging allegiance to Jay Z for quite some time. In 2015, Wayne said he signed a "deal" with Jay Z. Later, it seemed to indicate a partnership with TIDAL, not Roc Nation.

Wayne also shouted out the Roc back in November of 2016. "I'm a motherfuckin' R-O-C millionaire," he said at the time. "I'm a motherfuckin' Roc-a-Fella millionaire." In January, he also said he was repping "YMROC."

Jay Z and Lil Wayne have had an interesting relationship throughout the years. They've gone from collaborators to foes. Nevertheless, Weezy has called Hov his idol.

Meanwhile, Wayne's career hangs in uncertainty due to his quarrels with Birdman. The two are currently in a legal battle over $51 million and Tha Carter V. Weezy's Jay Z shoutouts have reportedly only exasperated the situation.
