New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Leading up to the February 5 release of his first album JUST MOVEMENT for Glassnote Records, ROBERT DELONG-a '2013 MTV Artist To Watch'- has launched the video for his breakout single "Global Concepts." It made its debut this week across many various MTV channels including AMTV, MTV Hits, mtvU, MTV.com, MTV.com/music and mtvU.com and is now available at: https://youtu.be/nnSyu4eZkZ4
Filmed in one continuous take, ROBERT DELONG's "
Global Concepts" video was directed by Sam Stephens and Charles Whitcher of humble, a progressive New York-based production company. The directors explain that the concept for the video grew out of their observation that DELONG is a dynamic live performer who draws his audience into his unique musical universe. Coupled with the addition of new Condition One video technology, which will be further enhanced via a custom app (details to be announced at a later time), the directors felt that a performance video would be the best way to approach the project.
"And as we listened to the song, we realized it has these really big changes, both in tone and in instrumentation," says Stephens, "so we thought it might be interesting to sort of separate the performance into different zones or physical spaces, to reinforce the structure of the song. And then we thought, how can we make this as intimate and honest as possible? And there's really nothing more intimate and honest than a single-take performance video, something that would showcase both Robert and 'Global Concepts' with no trickery. So our treatment just grew organically from those observations."
The set design, created by the New York multimedia design firm SOFTlab, is built around 376 fluorescent lights using close to 20,000 feet of wire that carve out a path between the video's instrumentation set-ups and which frame DELONG throughout his performance.

About Robert DeLong:
Los Angeles' Robert DeLong-a singer, songwriter, producer, programmer and drummer-is the perfect artist to bring electronic dance music to Glassnote, home of Mumford & Sons, Two Door Cinema Club,
Phoenix and more.
A one-man futuristic dance party with beats as cerebral as
Orbital and club-ready as Calvin Harris, DeLong is also a profoundly gifted singer/songwriter who raises questions about identity and spirituality. Those two elements join together on Just Movement, his debut album due out February 5, 2013 -a dazzling collection of dance beats, pop hooks and thought-provoking queries that could very well be the soundtrack for 2013.
On the live front, DeLong has a toolbox of Wii-motes, keyboards, and drums to develop a live rock show that CMJ claims worthy of "an 8-bit warrior, seamlessly creating danceable electro beats with his Wii Remote and Sega
Genesis controller on par with the Chemical Brothers."
He uses MIDI interfaces, a full drum set, drum pads, keyboards, laptops and game controllers, looping his music live to fuse electronic dance beats with striking melodies and lyrics with emotional heart.
