New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The legendary singer-songwriter, musician, record producer and actress Macy Gray revealed her first track and official video for "Sugar Daddy," taken from her forthcoming 10thstudio album titled RUBY, out worldwide digitally and on Limited Edition RUBY red Vinyl on September 7 (Artistry Music, a Mack Avenue label).

Directed by Christian Lamb and shot at Pour Vous in Los Angeles, the video stars Macy Gray alongside Evan Ross, and is inspired by his legendary mother Diana Ross' portrayal of Billie Holiday in the 1972 biographical classic "Lady Sings The Blues." The video premiered today on the national television networks BET SOUL and BET HER, as well via Rolling Stone and Top40-Charts Magazine.

"Sugar Daddy" was co-written by Macy and fellow Grammy-Award winning American singer and songwriter Meghan Trainor, alongside Bianca "Blush" Atterberry, Tommy "TB Hits" Brown and Thomas Lumpkins, and serves as the perfect taster of what's to come from Macy Gray and her highly anticipated full-length RUBY.

In true Macy Gray fashion - transcending genres and styles - RUBY offers fans a slice of soul, blues, jazz, R&B and pop but always with a Macy Gray twist. The tongue-in-cheek and playful "Sugar Daddy" starts things up in the pop domain, and is sure to wet pallets for what's to come from Macy in 2018. "Sugar Daddy" is available today on all digital platforms.

RUBY serves as a welcomed reminder that one of America's greatest female songwriters and vocalists is back and fresher than ever. The follow-up to her critically acclaimed jazz covers album Stripped which dropped in 2016, RUBY sees Macy Gray collaborate with esteemed guitarist Gary Clark, Jr. and producers Johan Carlsson (Ariana Grande, Michael Bublé, Maroon 5), Tommy Brown (Jennifer Lopez, Fifth Harmony, Travis Scott, Ariana Grande) and Tommy Parker Lumpkins (Janet Jackson, Justin Bieber, Kelly Rowland).

Macy Gray's unparalleled rise to international fame, that includes multiple Grammy, Billboard, MTV and BRIT Awards, and record sales of over 25 million worldwide, illustrates a depth and breadth in her artistry and vision that has always set her apart from the rest. Transcending genres, generations and cultures thanks to her signature storytelling, legendary voice and willingness to experiment in soul music, R&B, pop, alternative rock, jazz, retro-disco and hip-hop, has allowed her to walk her own path without compromise, since the release of her multi-award-winning debut On How Life Is in 1999.

In other news, Macy Gray has announced she will be taking her band on the road across Europe, making stops in Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, France and London. Starting in Berlin on the October 30 and wrapping in London on November 10, Macy will be performing brand new songs from her forthcoming album, as well her many fan favorites and chart-topping singles from the last 20 years.
