Maggie Rose Continues Tradition Of Exceptional Versatility And Variety With Summer Release Plan
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Maggie's five-part release series includes three additional Digital 45s this summer leading in to all LP

Exceptionally versatile singer and songwriter Maggie Rose will release three additional Digital 45s this summer, leading up to a planned album this fall (TBD). All co-produced by Maggie and stamped with her affinity for finely-crafted melodies and intricate storytelling, her latest and forthcoming releases encompass what she's been preparing for her entire career, music she's held inside herself and now fully able to lay down.

Today, Rolling Stone Country debuted the first tracks of Maggie's five-part series of releases with "It's You" and "Smooth." Rolling Stone Country calls "It's You" "a giant, throwback soul ballad that shows off her dynamic vocals [and] contains shades of Aretha Franklin," and "Smooth" "a supremely funky rocker with hints of Grace Potter, Janis Joplin". These two tracks show the two ends of the spectrum on which the forthcoming LP lives.

Upon stepping into the famed Starstruck Studios, the Nashville-based, independent singer-songwriter was determined to record in a method and level in which she's never recorded before. Backed by her 13-piece family band -- featuring players for Kelly Clarkson, Them Vibes, Brothers Osborne and Steven Tyler -- Maggie recorded 13 songs completely live in one take, no overdubs, no autotune, no bullshit, all while being documented by a camera crew; highlighting an artist in complete command of her creative and prolific career. Maggie will release three additional Digital 45s from these sessions -- slated May 18, June 15, July 20, respectively -- leading into the release of a Fall LP.

Channeling Bonnie Raitt and Etta James, "It's You" shows Maggie as the modern-day, country embodiment of these two leading ladies. Filled with evocative, spine-tingling harmonies and lush, swirling melodies, Maggie's "Dusty Springfield-worthy vocals" (Rolling Stone Country) soar; she pours her heart out just as these ladies who inspired her to move to Nashville did. "Smooth" brings a funk-tinged, jam band-esque punch. Weaved with down-right-dirty bass riffs andundeniable toe-tapping percussion, this rocker transports the listener to another world. It exemplifies the sessions pristinely; musicians taking cues from one another in the rawest way possible.

Maggie is on the road this Spring and Summer, headlining the Opry City Stage in NYC (4.21), Joe's Pub in Chicago (5.3), as well as festival stops at CMA Fest, Country Jam and more.
