Mountain Brothers, First Asian American Rap Group Signed To Major Label, Reunite For 'Strength In Numbers' Compilation Album
Philadelphia (Top40 Charts/ CHOPS) CHOPS began making his mark as rapper and producer in the Mountain Brothers, the first Asian American rap group ever signed to a major label. They were recognized as cultural groundbreakers, having released 2 critically acclaimed albums with network video play. CHOPS went on to work with many of the industry's biggest and best rappers, including Kanye West, Bun B, Lil Wayne, E-40, Talib Kweli, Snoop, Ice Cube, and Raekwon of Wu Tang Clan. Notable recent work includes The Lonely Island's "The Creep" featuring Nicki Minaj (over 77 million YouTube views), and "I Run NY" featuring Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day. CHOPS' music has been featured in numerous major and independent movies, TV shows, and ads.

"Strength In NUMBERS" breaks ground yet again, bringing together some of the best Asian American rappers and singers (with special guests from Korea and Japan), combined with CHOPS' signature powerhouse tracks. The lead single from the project is "Keep On" featuring the reunited Mountain Brothers, and singer Ann One. "Keep On" reunites MBs with award-winning director Chris Chan Lee, co-director of their "Galaxies" video.

"When I started out, the Asian American entertainment scene was bleak. My generation watched The Simpsons and Spongebob just to see some yellow faces. Fortunately things have changed some," CHOPS says. "A lot more great artists are making strides, taking things further, and I got to work with a bunch of my favorites for this project".
