Music Festival (May 31, June 1, and 2, 2018), hosted by ACE Adventure Resort in Oak Hill, WV, has announced their 2018 Artist Lineup featuring two nights of Umphrey's McGee and BIG Something. 25 bands will play on four stages including Perpetual Groove, Pimps of Joytime, Litz, Broccoli Samurai, The Fritz, and more. This destination music festival in the New River Gorge of West Virginia allows participants to vacation at an adventure resort while being immersed in the atmosphere of a music festival.
Umphrey's McGee is returning to their second Mountain
Music Festival to perform on the mountaintop stage. The music of Umphrey's McGee unfolds like an unpredictable conversation between longtime friends. Its six participants know just how to communicate with each other on stage. A call of progressive guitar wizardry might elicit a response of soft acoustic balladry, or a funk groove could be answered by explosive percussion. At any moment, heavy guitars can give way to heavier blues as the boys uncover the elusive nexus between jaw-dropping instrumental virtuosity and airtight songcraft.
BIG Something has been gracing the Mountain
Music Festival stage all four years the event has taken place. A 6 piece powerhouse with a sound that is both unique and timeless, BIG Something fuses elements of rock, pop, funk, and improvisation to take listeners on a journey through a myriad of musical styles. It's no secret why this group has quickly become one of the most exciting new bands to emerge from the Southeast. Soaring guitars, synths, horns and alluring vocal hooks rise to the top of their infectious collection of songs and represent a sound that has caught the ears of such revered Summer circuit stalwarts as Umphrey's McGee, Galactic, moe., Robert Randolph, and even The B52s who have all tapped BIG Something as direct support.

Music Festival has evolved into one of the most anticipated weekends of the summer in West Virginia. The stage sits atop
Wonderland Mountain right in the middle of ACE Adventure Resort (https://aceraft.com/), a 1,500-acre outdoor adventure property in the heart of the New River Gorge, WV. Festival attendees, when not enjoying the music, are always close to the Gorge's best outdoor activities ranging from the East Coast's best whitewater rafting, rock climbing, world-class mountain biking, to waterpark adventure and hiking. Guests are well fed at a choice of dining venues and enjoy nights spent in tents or comfortable cabins at ACE. Because of the simple ethos behind the festival, participants are surrounded by a community of like-minded outdoor adventures who don't mind a little moonshine with their music, or the other way around.
2018 is the festival's fifth year and event organizers have seen attendance grow over the years from 500 people in 2014 to over 2,100 last summer. Things have been kicked up a notch over the last four years offering more music and added fun. This year features more bands than ever (25 to be exact). Tickets are $80-$800, depending on single day attendance or full weekend camping option selected. VIP packages including added resort perks, and adventures such as whitewater rafting and zip lining are available.
