Colombia (Top40 Charts/ Patron Records) - The band called Still Alive, a popular Columbian group that's taking Latin
America by storm, announces the release of its new single "Lady" worldwide along with a hot new video on August 25TH. With a blend of Hip-Hop style music with a Reggaeton flavor, which is a form of Latin rhythms, the band is entering the United States market with already a huge following.
Still Alive has signed with Patron Records, and their video has already charted national record pools as high as No 15 on the urban charts. The group promises a new style of Reggaeton that's sure to fill the dance floors.
As a family group based out of Cali Colombia, South America, Still Alive puts a new twist on urban and Latin music. The group is closely- knit with each member doing their part, which contributes greatly to the group's "hip" sound and performance. The lead singer is Sunday, who wrote the new hit single "Lady" at the age of 16. There's also a brother, Makliky, and two cousins, Big-Day and R.J. The members write and flip the hip-hop and Latin rhymes like no others. But their talents don't stop there. They are also educated in sound and production, giving them an edge in the music industry.
Promotion companies in the United States have been hounding Patron Records and are very impressed with the group's style and talents. A long time D.J. and music producer, Patron Records C.E.O. Abel Romero, also sees the tremendous potential for the group's worldwide appeal.
Romero states, "The first time I heard these guys, I was in awe. These guys are really the 'Real Deal.' Their delivery and music production talents can be rated as high as Daddy Yankee or Don Omar, to name a few. The group offers strong vocals with deep base grooves. Not only do they have a single going worldwide, they have five to six other songs ready to be dropped off this CD. Bonus track Eres ("You are the One") is a definite smash hit. Other national D.J.s are responding to the track called CHICHON remix with its chant responding to its label PATRON RECORDS DE LA U.S.A ! A real heater for the clubs, it's no wonder the urban response is great."
In the group's native land of Columbia as well as surrounding Latin countries, Still Alive has been interviewed on national radio stations and has been featured on national television. On MySpace, Still Alive's Web site is getting more than 125,000 hits and still growing.
"To me, seeing Still Alive perform with crowds of more than 50,000, the people - whether young or old - are swarming these guys like angry bees. They want pictures and autographs. I sense a worldwide phenomena before me. Whether Latin or urban, they will be a hit.... just a matter of time, no doubt!" states Romero.
Still Alive's new CD called Un Nevo Estlo will hit stores on October 19, 2007. The CD is already available online at PatronRecords.com, I tunes, Amazon, CDBaby.com, and more than 250 digital stores. The group will be featured on CMJ, and the video will be shown on MTV3 along with other Latin video shows.
