New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Phosphorescent's Matthew Houck has shared the title track to his forthcoming album 'C'est La Vie,' out October 5th on Dead Oceans. Premiered by Zane Lowe via Beats 1 on Apple Music this morning, "C'est La Vie No. 2" is anchored by Houck's famously frayed, unmistakably intimate voice. He radiates a measured, newfound confidence as he reckons with the void between individual purpose and cosmic insignificance.

The highly anticipated follow-up to Phosphorescent's acclaimed 2013 release 'Muchacho,' 'C'est La Vie' chronicles a life-altering 5-year period during which Houck fell in love, started a family, relocated from New York to Nashville, and hand built his own studio from the ground up. The album was prominently featured in both Pitchfork and New York Magazine's fall music previews this month, and other new songs have earned early praise from FADER, Stereogum, Uproxx, and beyond.

Listen to album standout "Christmas Down Under" here, which Consequence of Sound calls "a smoldering gem" and Stereogum says "channels a gloomy, folksy Daft Punk": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jd2Egn6A574

Phosphorescent kicks off a string of European shows this month and will tour extensively in the US through the end of 2018, headlining some of the largest venues of his career. Liz Cooper and The Stampede will support all North American shows - see full routing below.
