Sophia Eiss, a 21-year-old singer-songwriter and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community born and raised in LA. Sophia's musical journey began at the age of six when she started playing guitar after being obsessed and mesmerised by
Elvis Presley (the first song she ever performed was "Hound Dog"), which developed into a passion for songwriting and singing. "I remember the feeling of performing and connecting with people through music", she says. "Soon after, I started writing my own lyrics and songs inspired by my childhood, parents' relationship, friendships and heartbreaks and haven't stopped writing since. My mom used to play album CDs of classic rock musicians, such as
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and Carole King, which heavily influenced my songwriting, as well as modern-day inspirations."
After over ten years of songwriting,
Sophia has recently begun releasing her music, with topics spanning world matters, passions, love, heartbreak, loss and the entropy of the universe. The music revolves around experimentation and draws influence from the likes of Amy Winehouse,
Frank Ocean and Anderson .Paak to Arlo Parks, Remi Wolf, Hope Tala and many more to create a unique indie-pop-R&B sound that stands out for Sophia's relatable storytelling, infectious melodies & hooks and silky vocals.
