SESAC Artist Jencarlos Canela to Perform at MFM/BCCA Conference in Miami
Northfield, Ill (Top40 Charts/ Holdgate PR) SESAC will host a luncheon performance by ascending Latin singer and actor Jencarlos Canela at Media Finance Focus 2014, the 54th annual conference for MFM - the Media Financial Management Association and its BCCA subsidiary.

Media Finance Focus 2014, the industry's primary source of professional education for financial and business executives, will be held at the Hilton Miami Downtown May 19-21. The SESAC luncheon is being held on Wednesday, May 21 beginning at 12:30 PM.

Recognized by fans of Latin music and television in the U.S. and throughout the Southern Hemisphere, Jencarlos Canela has strong ties to Miami complementing our educational sessions focusing on the fast-growing Hispanic market. Twenty-five year old Jencarlos Canela, who began his professional music career at age 12 as the lead singer of the group "Boom Boom Pop," has already performed in over 110 concerts across the North and South American Continents. Highlights of his music career include chart-topping albums ("Búscame," "Un Nuevo Día") and singles ("Amor Quédate," "I love It") and a number of music industry awards and nominations, including nomination as Best New Artist for the Latin Music Billboard Awards, receiving Univision's Best New Pop Artist and Premios Juventud Awards and a Cassandra Award for New Artist of the Year.

Jencarlos' acting success includes playing the teenage lead role in the Telemundo's soap-opera "Pecados Ajenos," appearances on another show "Doña Barbara" and starring in the most highly rated Telemundo primetime network drama "Más Sabe El Diablo." He also played the lead role in the stage musical, "Miami Libre." His latest projects with Telemundo include lead roles in "Mi Corazon Insiste" and the Spanish soap opera "Pasion Prohibida." His film career includes playing the lead role in the film "Hunted by Night" and starring in the movie "Más Sabe el Diablo" which aired on Telemundo. And he sang the Spanish version of the theme song for the movie "Hop."

Jencarlos is also regarded for his commitment to charitable causes throughout the Americas, including the Miracle Hospitals, FANLYC in Panama, the Foundation Villa Blessing in Dominican Republic, and as the voice of the Department of Families in Puerto Rico. He has also been the Hispanic-American representative for the IRC (International Rescue Committee) and his distinctive voice can be heard in "Somos el Mundo 25 Por Haiti," the Spanish version of the legendary song "We Are the World" which was produced by Emilio Estefan to benefit the earthquake victims in Haiti. In recognition of his inspiring example, Jencarlos was King of the 2012 Calle Ocho Carnaval, the largest Hispanic festival in the U.S., where he achieved a Guinness Record and recognition from the United Nations for using the flags of the world to create the number "1" in order to send a "One World" message across the globe.
