Smash Broadway Musical "Rock of Ages" in Modesto September 21
Modesto, CA (Top40 Charts/ Gallo Center for the Arts) In 1987 on the Sunset Strip, a small-town girl met a big-city dreamer - and in L.A.'s most legendary rock club, they fell in love to the greatest songs of the '80's. It's "Rock of Ages," a hilarious, feel-good love story told through the hit songs of iconic rockers Journey, Styx, REO Speedwagon, Foreigner, Pat Benatar, Whitesnake, and many more.

This five-time Tony nominated musical, recently made into a star-studded movie with Tom Cruise and Alec Baldwin, is rockin' its way to the Gallo Center for the Arts for five performances, Friday, September 21 through Sunday, September 23.

Tickets are on sale now and range from $39 to $99. Groups of 15 or more are eligible for a 15% discount. For tickets and more information, visit GalloArts.org or call (209) 338-2100.

"Rock of Ages" is a worldwide phenomenon with smash hit productions in Australia, London, South Korea and still rockin' on Broadway, featuring 28 classic rock tunes including "Don't Stop Believin,'" "We Built This City," "The Final Countdown," "Wanted Dead or Alive," "Here I Go Again," "Harden My Heart," "Can't Fight this Feeling," "Renegade" and "I Want To Know What Love Is."

Directed by Tony Award-nominee Kristin Hanggi ("Bare," "Pussycat Dolls on the Sunset Strip"), "Rock of Ages" is choreographed by Kelly Devine ("Jersey Boys" - Associate Choreographer). The book is by Chris D'Arienzo (writer and director of the film "Barry Munday"), original arrangements are by David Gibbs ("That Thing You Do") and the music supervision, arrangements and orchestrations are by Ethan Popp (Ta"rzan," "Europe: We Will Rock You," "Mamma Mia").

"Rock of Ages" at the Gallo Center for the Arts is sponsored by Wells Fargo. Boyett Petroleum is the Gallo Center 2012/2013 Premier Partner.
