Perhaps not surprising, given the commercial success of the track, Belgium-Australian singer Gotye's 'Somebody That I Used to Know' was far and away the song most shared by SoundHound users, followed by fun.'s power ballad, 'We Are Young' as a distant second.
Among top shared artists, Adele paced this year's list, followed closely by Rihanna and Flo Rida.
SoundHound sound search and music discovery emphasizes a social music experience by enabling its users to instantly share a newly discovered song or artist with friends through social networks like Facebook and Twitter or directly via email and text message.
