Terk Lewis To Redefine "Gay Rapper" With "The Great Outdoors" EP
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) NYC based, out hip hop artist, Terk Lewis has released his second EP "The Great Outdoors"

The EP is available on Itunes, Spotify, Amazon and Google Play. Along with writing and performing, Lewis also produced the four track EP. Lewis was inspired to create this project to document life as an artist in NYC.

Lewis first made a name for himself as a dancer with Complexions Contemporary Ballet. Earning attention from both the New York and LA Times, Lewis has traveled and performed around the world with the renowned company. Being of African American, Native American, German and Japanese descent, Lewis' diverse look has also garnered him attention in the fashion industry as a model working with notorious photographers and designers.

"My dance background has taught me how to fuse styles and blur lines..." Lewis told The Huffington Post last week, "And that's what I wanted to do with this project." The EP opens with the bass knocking single "The Great Outdoors", followed by upbeat party starter "The New Hustle". Next on the EP comes "Bombay On the Rocks" a bass galloping house track about "runnin' the streets" and finally "Angels 2" closes with Lewis' quick spitting, wit and bounce.

When asked by The Huffington Post whether he considered himself a queer artist? "Sure, But in my art, the same as in my everyday life, I don't get much into labels. Of course my sexuality influences my work... (but) I want my art to surpass sexuality, race, gender."

Ohio born, Lewis pulled inspiration for production of "The Great Outdoors" from the diverse span of music, art, and dance that he has been exposed to in his upbringing and travels. Lewis hopes to blaze a new path in the music industry by breaking stereotypes, and blurring lines while still holding to and paying homage to his own cultural and musical influences.
