Wiz Khalifa's Debut Album 'Rolling Papers,' Now RIAA-certified Gold, While Second Single 'Roll Up' Reaches Platinum Status
NEW YORK, NY (Top40 Charts/ Atlantic Records) Rostrum/Atlantic Records recording artist Wiz Khalifa is proud to announce that his debut album, "ROLLING PAPERS," has been officially RIAA-certified gold. What's more, the rapper's second official single, "Roll Up," is now certified platinum after receiving gold certification only a couple of weeks prior. These two new accolades join the already 3X platinum single, "Black And Yellow," which was released last September and catapulted up the charts, reaching No 1 on Billboard's "Hot 100 Singles" chart. Known for his great presence on the road, Wiz recently kicked off his "Rolling Papers Tour" with a much-buzzed-about set at last week's Bonnaroo Festival in Manchester, TN.

The nationwide tour will see the Pittsburgh MC performing at venues nationwide, concluding with a recently added homecoming show at Pittsburgh's Trib Total Media Amphitheatre on August 6th. The tour - appropriately titled after the rapper's major label debut album - will feature notable performances including the "Extra Wide" show on July 24th in Columbia, MD as well as a sold-out performance at NYC's Central Park SummerStage. All of this excitement comes after Khalifa's first European tour, where he performed to sold-out crowds in London, Paris, Berlin and Amsterdam. In addition to this, the acclaimed rapper has been nominated for "Best New Artist" at the 2011 BET Awards, airing June 26th (check local listings).

Always one to use the internet as a direct connection with his loyal fans, Wiz has surpassed the 2 million followers mark on Twitter, with over 8 million people having "liked" his official Facebook page.
